Schoop's Hamburgers - Valparaiso

There's only a few places to get Schoop's, and yet I would travel however far I needed to get some Irish Nachos and a Green River. I just had my first Gen River Malt the last time around. Definitely worth a stop.

Bela was one of the best servers I’ve ever had. Very friendly and was on her A game today! Checked on our table often and had other tables as well. We never had an empty drink, and gave us just the perfect amount of time to settle in and decide. Food came out in 7 minutes hot and delicious!

First timer, hubby and I stopped here after leaving the beach. Old school diner charm, pleasant staff and great food! The pic doesn't do this burger justice. It's big, it's filling and I would definitely visit here again. Can't forget the homemade chili on the chili cheese fries.

A trip to another restaurant put us across the street from Shoops. A very plain and unassuming exterior does not do the inside justice. Very clean and surprisingly popular. Counter service is also available. Hamburgers are smashed on the griddle and get a crispy edge to them. This is a small Northwest Indiana chain well worth stopping at. Other locations do not appeal to me as much as this one was right for a nice meal

Huge fan of the food here, well priced for the portion sizes! The cheese fries are to die for, really!! Have always wanted to try breakfast too, just haven't gotten around to it. The team is always very sweet and try their best to help in any way possible- from taking empty plates to refilling our drinks even if our server is busy. I love visiting this location and hope to make more trips here in the future :D
