Al Forno - Valongo

Good service, the Pizza 's are really good and I also recommend the Steak Al Forno . The room is very small so reservation is really the best choice.

I always go there with the same friend and so now it's sort of a ritual for us to go there again once in a while. However, I acknowledge that the service isn't that good... But the environment around you is nice and the music too! Also, on weekends and holidays you have brunch in Al Forno Café (there is more than one Al Forno in Oporto), located in Foz (Rua de Gondarém). I've never been there but I passed by and it seems to have a wide variety, while not being very expensive (9,80€ I think).

It 's an italian food restaurant. The first Al Forno restaurant is a very small room in Foz neighborhood (Largo do Adro, to be precise) where pizza was made in a genuine wood stove. Nowadays there a few more restaurants of the same owner in the city. However the one at Foz still is simply the best. A pizza and a bottle of wine in a table with a candle... What more you will want? But you may also try the Picata Lemone or other italian dishes.
