Bidrage med feedbackAlthough we did not eat here the menu was very interesting, and reasonably priced. Service was rapid and friendly, and lemon tea excellent. A restful spot at the bottom of the main shopping street.
In brief, whenever we're on holiday in this part of the world (around twice a year) we make the detour to Vallauris to seek out this delightful little restaurant. This is not our first visit and nor is it the first time I have reviewed it, but I am pleased to report that nothing has changed at La Viole Fleury. The service is still excellent and friendly, the menu and quality of food great, and the pricing still very reasonable. On this occasion we ate escargots followed by bouchee a la Reine (him) and foie gras followed by braised pork cheeks (me), and all were excellent- both mains were served with home made spatzli which could not be faulted. We're already looking forward to our next visit!
This is a lovely little restaurant tucked away among the potters and ateliers of Vallauris. The menu is Alsacien and home cooked, with the front of house managed by a lovely lady who always makes diners feel welcome. A large number of locals seem to come here regularly which is always a good sign. The food is hearty, home cooked and very well done. Starters including slices of home-baked quiche plus mains of tarte flamande (delicious pizza style dishes), chicken casseroles or (today) a huge bouchee a la reine make this a really satisfying and well-priced dining venue. Well recommended, although as this intimate venue fills up very quickly, I'd recommend arriving early or booking in advance.
