Locanda La Voltarella - Valentano

We stopped here for lunch on our way to Umbria from Tuscany. The place is definitively cheap, we had a first course, a side, and dessert for about 10 eur per person. I had some trouble digesting it though, probably too heavy on fried oil and cheap tomato sauces. The service also needs some improvement. The waiter let us in, and stared at us all the time while we chose a seat and he didn't move an inch. A second waiter did attend us but kept talking loudly to the others to confirm the dishes. Colourful but not professional in my opinion.

Siamo arrivati a questo ristorante quasi per caso e devo dire che siamo proprio stati fortunati! Cibo ottimo e prezzo onestissimo! Consiglio a tutti!

Così come altre volte, ci siamo trovati alla grande. Locale caratteristico, caldo e accogliente, con un servizio attento, educato e professionale. Le pietanze hanno il sapore di una volta, grazie alla qualità delle materie prime, i prezzi sono ultra accessibili e l'ambiente familiare ti consente di vivere una giornata all'insegna del buon cibo e dell'accoglienza. Tappa fissa.

When visiting Valentano don’t forget eat here ... authentic italian kitchen ... with great service .. I will be back

Admittedly I attended with family that spoke Italian so I can’t speak to their ability to speak English. We stay near this restaurant and go when we’re here because my husband absolutely loves the tripe (tripa). Small place that also has outdoor seating in the little tunnel where the entrance is. We have never had a bad meal here.
