Barracuda - Valencia

Most of their burgers on their menu include pickles Somehow the kitchen forgot them in the Chef's burger which did include the menued Bacon but it was not Bacon it, unannounced, was Smoked Bacon so smokey it was a very distasteful travesty. Spain excells in poor use of potatoes and Barracuda's poor use of reheated frozen chips is no exception. Stick to the non burger stuff and with their value for money Jarra of Cruz Campo and house wine by the glass and in the off-peak you can enjoy this well positioned place.

Our family were visiting us in Spain from the UK ..we decided to have an outing to Gandia and have lunch at the Barracuda, where we have been many times before. We took mum only last month , but this time was very disappointed. We ordered our meals and only 2 of the 6 arrived . My daughter's chilli was cold as was my granddaughter's chicken nuggets but she said she would eat them cold. The chilli was sent back to be heated up, came back with the bowl very very hot but the contents still only luke warm . I again asked for it to be hot which it was the third time of asking . The remainder of our party sat waiting over half an hour for our meals to be served. My daughter and grandaughter had long finished theirs It was busy but there were plenty of staff on duty , and weren't rushed off their feet People arriving after us were served long before us . Won't be rushing to go there again and certainly wouldn't be recommending to anyone which is a shame because when we finally got the food it was nice

My daughter and her family came to visit us in Spain we went into town to see an event starting at 9pm we arrived at 7;30 plenty of time you would think! We had some drinks then ordered food then we waited and waited and watched other people come in and sit down and get their similar food served then leave while we still waited, nearly got to the point where were about to cancel and leave when the food turned up. Hmm the two cheese burgers that the kids had didn't get eaten the meat was still red ie not cooked in the middle so that came home for the dogs three of us ordered a chicken dish but the chicken was cold and over cooked and dry not very nice at all. We asked for the bill and we waited and we waited and while we were waiting there was a queue of around 30 people waiting to be seated so you would think they would be in a hurry to get us out but no! we had to ask twice and after 25 minutes we received the bill and left...too late to see the attraction we had bought the kids down to see not impressed at all, food wasn't great the service was nearly non existent, which is a shame for the place as we have had decent food there in the past.

An excellent experience. I would write more but all I thought about was that a crewman didn't get it.

At this restaurant you cannot fault the food but the service is a little slow. One or two more servers would certainly make it better
