Bidrage med feedbackMy daughter and I enjoy visiting traditional fish and chips shops in and around London. Today we decided to try Hippie Chippy in Crayford. We received a warm welcome and enjoyed freshly cooked fish and chips at a reasonable price (£10 for medium cod and chips) with generous portion sizes. The fish was cooked perfectly, but the chips were a bit too soft for our liking. Additionally, condiments like ketchup were available for an extra charge in sachets. Unfortunately, there was no option to dine in and they only accepted cash payments. Despite these drawbacks, we would consider returning if we were in the area again.
I have visited this fish and chip shop a few times and I always find it to be friendly, clean, and organized. It is located across from McDonald's in Crayford and stands out as a great chip shop among the many in the area. As someone who writes reviews on Google, I appreciate the opportunity to inform others about good dining options. Give it a try, I don't think you will be disappointed.
Lovely restaurant and pub. Could not fault the service or the meal, it was served with a welcome and the food superb. I had the sea bass and my husband had the fish and chips, All the staff very friendly and not in your face, left to enjoy the meal without any interruption's but they were about it you needed anything. Would recommend The Fish to everyone, its a hidden gem.
Recommended by our B&B, we were delighted by the quality and welcome at the Fish. The food is all cooked fresh to order but the slight wait is worth it for the great quality. The staff were charming and there is a strong French influence to the style and menu. Definitely one to try!
Nice spot much better than it looks from the road with welcoming interior and large, quiet garden at back Menu is fairly straightforward but well presented and executed Sevice good and included helpful warnings re time to cook certain dishes from scratch and also the size (LARGE) of some deserts
