L'edelweiss - Val-d'Isère

The food and service was excellent, the menu caters for all and has an extensive wine menu. Lamb was excellent. It is truly worth the visit.

Edelweiss is a lovely restaurant. Great position on the slopes, has had a fabulous refurb extension and the food is generally excellent. So why my two stars ? Because we were badly let down by poor service. We had not booked but the owner manager accommodated us after a short wait. We were attended to quickly in terms of drinks, and ordered food quickly before the other tables in our part of the restaurant, as we didn’t want to stay too long. Unfortunately our waitress managed to lose our order and after all the other tables had one or two courses, we were still waiting to receive anything. Two stars is perhaps a bit harsh, but poor service is such a killer of an otherwise good restuarant. Such a shame as we had a great experience a few days prior with a larger group.

Elegant restaurant with delicious food on the margard descent. We made a reservation for lunch please do, because this restaurant is popular. They service is very friendly and the speak English as well. I had the tuna tataki and the duck: both delicious! Will come again

Beautiful chalet, terrace on the edge of the track with splendid view. It is best to book because the place is usually very requested.

Excellent trail restaurant. Sunny terrace, in the middle of the mountain, and good cuisine. But we have to put the price on it.
