Bidrage med feedbackThis is such a beautiful restaurant. The ambience is warm and just perfect for a romantic date. It is not your typical Waterfront restaurant. The waiters are super attentive and efficient. The menu is extensive with an excellent selection of wine. The portion size was a tad bit on the small side. We had lamb curry and lamb cutlets. They both tasted really good though I could count the pieces of lamb in my curry . Overall a lovely experience and I would definitely go again.
The view from Dalliance is stunning on a clear day. We had lunch elsewhere so we just ordered coffees and dessert. The new york cheesecake crème brule was to die for and the coffee nice and strong. The staff were very friendly too.
Definitely one the top establishments to visit when in the Waterfront the ambiance is beautiful and the views of the sea is absolutely breathtaking. The menu offers a lovely variety of dishes and their cocktails are most delicious! Great spot for sundowners or a intimate dinner! A highly recommended gem in my books.
Recently tried this place for dinner and I must say; for the view and for the ambience they create in the restaurant I give them 5/5, it 's such a lovely place to watch the sunset and for that reason alone I will definitely be back. My only critique is that their portion sizes are quite small and as a result a little bit on the pricey side. Otherwise I always appreciate a restaurant that makes a 'medium ' steak properly, and that was the case for me on Friday... I 'd recommend having the chicken wings for starters and steak for mains! The desert was extremely sweet for me, but I generally don 't have a sweet tooth so someone else may have a loved it. Overall, I 'll definitely be back..
I’ll be the first to admit that I really don’t enjoy going to the V&A, again nothing against the venue itself it’s just that I don’t enjoy the touristy feel or touristy prices for that matter.<br/ <br/ But every once in a while though, you come across a little gem that attempts to change this grinch’s mind. Dalliance certainly is that gem. It’s surrounded by top end brands such as Louis Vuitton and Gucci and is nowhere near the hustle and bustle of the “foodcourt/restaurant” area.<br/ <br/ We were booked for a lazy Sunday lunch and got to enjoy a view of the bay as whales breached. The menu had good variation and the service was excellent.<br/ <br/ For starters we had:<br/ <br/ •Sardines with peri-peri and lemon which received a rave review.<br/ <br/ •Prawns in garlic, chilli, parsley, white wine and butter<br/ <br/ •Chicken slider with pickles, Dill cucumber and mustard mayo<br/ <br/ •Grilled calamari with pineapple, peppers and a vinaigrette<br/ <br/ •My favourite was the Beef Short Rib with marrow, mushroom duxelle and bone marrow gratin; it was tender, tasty and absolutely delicious.<br/ <br/ Main course:<br/ <br/ •Prawns with butter, garlic and lemon<br/ <br/ •Norwegian Salmon, Fennel and lemon quinoa, herb yoghurt<br/ <br/ •Baby Kingklip with garlic chili and cherry tomatoes, beautifully presented.<br/ <br/ •Sirloin with chimichurri and roast potatoes.<br/ <br/ •Butter chicken with Naan.<br/ <br/ Dessert:<br/ <br/ •Beignets, chocolate, crème Chantilly and raspberries<br/ <br/ •Marshmallow with chocolate, marshmallow, mango and peanut butter.<br/ <br/ All the courses were exquisitely presented and prepared to perfection. The milkshakes were sublime and I was forced to try both the Chocolate milkshake and the Salted Caramel flavour. Dalliance is now one of my favourite venues in the V&A unassuming, but definitely worth a visit.
