Jucker Farm - Uster

This was a big night out with around 60 work colleagues and this place managed to handle this excellently with all persons well fed and entertained. The wines and beers were all great and the Rösti and Raclette at a self service buffet worked very...well. Probably in better weather the views would be pretty good too we had a few glimpses of snowy mountains through the clouds, but that was it. Given the fresh quality of the produce I suspect I may go here again, if only to hit the farm shop!

We visited this lovely farm with our daughter, who lives locally. Obviously being pumpkin season there were many very interesting gourds on display. We decided to eat before wandering around, and chose food (hot cold) from a buffet within the farm shop. After putting...the food on our plates, the plates were then weighed to work out the costs. All the food was delicious the cooked pumpkin especially so (the pumpkin soup and self serve apple juice that we took home were also delicious). We then ate in the barn, which was warmed by a wonderful fire. The tables are self clear and the system was good. Outside there is a fabulous play area for children, with hay for the kids to bounce on, toy tractors, swings, and other play items. There were some very happy children, so this place is earmarked for our twin grandchildren (not due until March 2014) in the future. In addition we were very impressed by such clean, modern toilets. The pumpkin sculptures (see photos) were fascinating, and we enjoyed the creativity. The farm shop was lovely and we bought really fresh apples and pears. Would we go back again like a shot!

You have to visit the Jucker at least once. We always enjoy coming here.
