This is the local ice-cream place and it is very good with an excellent selection of aromen. try dulce de leche and calafate. service is very good.
After a recent dinner in downtown Ushauia, we decided on some ice cream. We wanted a bowl but ended up with a quarter which is actually quite large at 90 Argentinian pesos. One cane select up to three different flavors in the container. The flavors...are varied, I selected Dolce de Leche and Flan. My husband had choco con Dolce de Leche, Flan and chocolate blanco. All the flavors were very good and I would certainly recommend this place for anyone wanting ice cream. They do have cones as evidenced when a family came in and ordered. It helps if one speaks the language.
We love Gelato/helado and enjoyed it here. the server was friendly and we talked about our trip and our visit to Argentina, as we enjoyed our gelato.
What can I say, but this is the best ice we had in a long, long time. my man and I were in ushuaia for two days before our expedition to the Falklands, South Georgia and Antarctica, and it was 't balmy weather either day....We tried dolcissimo, which is on the main train in ushuaia, and enjoyed double-dip ice cone both days. the first day was an experiment because we had simply asked a family on the road where they had bought their ice cone. the ice was so delicious and so good, compared to the expensive gelato in the usa, which is not almost so good that we returned the next day for another before we sail away. I greet now that I think of dolcissimos ice cream!
