Caribou Coffee - Urbandale

I used to stop at Einstein Bagels almost every morning for a coffee and a fresh bagel sandwich. This morning I stopped on my way to work and ordered the bagel sandwich with Turkey sausage that I?ve always ordered. I learned that all of their breakfast sandwiches/bagels are now pre made. The bagel was chewy and extremely hard to eat. I won?t be ordering a breakfast bagel or sandwich from Einstein going forward especially since there are competitors in town that still do it RIGHT! I?m not sure why Einstein Bagels decided to ruin a good thing by cutting corners.

I love Caribou Coffee, but I came today to get an Einstein Bagel. The girl at the drive thru took the time to explain to me that Einstein and Caribou have split ways. It'll take awhile to get the signage changed. I got a blueberry bagel with honey almond cream cheese. It was good. Quite sweet. Probably had too much cream cheese on it. I used to come here a lot, they were always able to accommodate my dairy allergy by simply leaving the cheese off the bagel sandwiches. Unfortunately, we were informed today that they can no longer ?modify? sandwiches, which blows my mind considering the amount of people with food intolerances these days. I guess it sounds like they split from Einstein's? If this is the case, it would be helpful to consumers if they?d remove the Einstein?s branding from their signage. Total bummer they lost a loyal customer for not being able to take the slice of cheese off the sandwich.

Amazing coffee!!! Even with the minor adjustments to my order they get it spot on (in the drive-thru even!!! The guy helping me at the window was super friendly and we had great laughs. When I am back in town, I will DEFINITELY visit this store again!!

It seems like every week they get my order incorrect! I always get the asiago bagel with cream cheese. And every time they mess it up and when they do, they give me the everything bagel with garden vegetable cream cheese. Today when I called them to tell them that I was given the wrong bagel, The girl indicated that it must have been me that messed up the order because she had put in the order as such. No apologies, no anything! I will not be going to this location ever again! Yesterday when I went through the drive-thru, they gave me a hot chocolate that the lid exploded in my car because the cup was dented. When I went inside to get a replacement the girl acted like it was my fault! Poor customer service!
