Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

I was passing through on my way home from a vacation in Virginia and wanted something quick to eat. I was seated promptly and a waitress came over soon after. I told her I didn't need a menu, as I just wanted biscuits with gravy and sausage, along with a cup of coffee. Typically, the coffee is brought out first, but not this time. My meal arrived with no coffee, so I assumed she was going to get it, but after a while, I had to flag her down. She apologized and quickly brought me the coffee. However, I never received a refill. The meal was delicious as usual for Cracker Barrel, but the gravy was thinner than usual, more like buttermilk. It tasted fine but was very thin. I left a tip, paid my bill, and continued on my way down the highway.

I went to this restaurant on October 1st and the food was excellent. The waitress was incredibly attentive and provided amazing service. After dining, I went to shop for toys for my child. However, I noticed a worker standing next to us for a few minutes, making me feel as though they thought we were going to steal something. It was a strange and uncomfortable experience, so I quickly paid for my daughter's toys and left. As I walked towards the register, the worker followed behind, confirming my suspicions that we were being watched. Although I wanted to address the situation, I decided it was best to just leave. Despite this incident, I will definitely be returning to eat at the restaurant again, but I will avoid shopping in the gift section in the future.

I had an amazing experience at this restaurant. The staff was friendly and the food was delicious. During our visit, the server was attentive, constantly refilling our drinks and fulfilling all of our requests. To top it off, when we received the bill, we were pleasantly surprised at how affordable it was. Three of us dined and the total bill came to just $36, which is what I typically spend on just myself at Red Lobster. In a time of rising prices, Cracker Barrel has outdone their competitors. I highly recommend dining at Cracker Barrel, as it is truly a hidden gem.

When did this place get so good?! They've added some things to the menu, specials that are limited to certain days of the week, lots of good food! They also continue to get better at, home style country cooking. If you go, ask for Waylon in the evenings.He's one of the best hosts I've had in a long time, AND he makes the best loaded potatoes, iced coffees, etc... Love it!

Got right in no wait. Food delicious and service excellent. Had to take home my dinner I couldn't finish it. You get lots of food. Price is right. Love looking around at the things in the store. Like the old time candy and pop. I had country fried steakw/ mashed taters and gravy (sawmill) gravy,green beans and baby carrots. Delicious! Will return there. Great place to go. Widevariety of choices. ????????????????
