Brostroems Kafe - Uppsala

A bit of an alternative cafe without being derogatory.No staples here, a carefully selected assortment, a great care about what we consume.

We had a fantastic experience at this cozy restaurant with incredibly friendly staff and delicious food. They offer a variety of great vegetarian and vegan options. Despite not knowing any Swedish, the girl at the counter kindly assisted us with our order and explained the entire menu. We had no trouble finding a seat, even with our large travel backpacks. The restaurant also provides Wifi, allowing us to plan our next steps in a relaxed and comfortable setting with complimentary coffee refills. We highly recommend this location!

After walking up and down the hill, along the river, and through the old town, we stopped at a small cafe located between two local craft and produce shops in an old brick building behind the main train station. The staff greeted us warmly and offered a menu of simple but delicious options such as sandwiches, buns, hot and cold drinks, and hot meals (including a vegetarian option). They were also helpful for those who couldn't speak Swedish, patiently assisting customers trying to order in the language. This cafe is a convenient spot to grab a bite while waiting for the train or to satisfy hunger before exploring the town. The coffee served here was the best we had during our 4-day stay in Sweden.

This charming café is located in a historic building near Central Station. We ordered at the counter and were delighted with the delicious cappuccinos, perhaps the best we have had in Uppsala. The carrot cake we tried was also outstanding. The shops in the building offer a lovely selection of items that make great souvenirs. We will definitely be returning for fika.

A good cup of coffe and good cakes to eat. And after that you can visit some of the next door stores or enjoy some art.
