Metro Carvery - UPPER COOMERA

I believe that the standout feature of this carvery is its consistency. The pork and crackling are consistently amazing, cooked perfectly every time. The other meats they offer are also consistently delicious. The salads and chips are consistently good as well, always the same quality.

The food was excellent, but the service was slow. Two out of the three staff members seemed disinterested, but the server from the Big Island was fantastic.

The roasted chicken at this restaurant is fantastic and they offer a wide variety of food options. The chips used to be perfectly crispy and salty, however, they have not been as good lately. The service is good, but not outstanding, and the lack of a ticket number or name being taken can be frustrating during busy times. The delicious chicken saves the experience, but with a little more effort, this place could become a top food destination on the Northern Gold Coast.

Dropped in to pick up some lunch supplies....great choice and variety from healthy too slightly unhealthy, but my choice. We had the Caesar salad and seafood salad, but what there hell hot chips. Staff friendly and easy going. Once ordered didn't have to wait to long considering the cue. Will be back

I have been from Metro ever since it opened and have never had an issue in fact I would have argued that they had the best chips on the Coast. However the last couple of times I have ordered from them via UberEats I have been most disappointed. Not sure if this unique to orders from that platform or is a sign of what it is becoming like. I order chips and gravy no gravy arrived. The pork roll, while quite generously laced with pork, the bun was tough and the crackling certainly didn't crackle. I might give the place another go of an actual visit into the shop however if this continues I will give it a miss.
