The food at this restaurant is delicious, the beer is cheap and well-maintained, and the staff is friendly.

I honestly wasn't expecting much from this place, small pubs in the middle of nowhere can be very hit or miss sadly. But this place. Wow. Lovely inside, really helpful staff and locals. Proper warm, welcoming country pub. The food though, expecting usual pub grub, so went for the usual litmus test; steak and ale pie. When it arrived, I could tell it was going to be good, proper home made pie, fresh veg, and home cut chips. And I wasn't disappointed. In fact, this is the best pie and chips I've ever had in a pub. And that is saying something! Tons of filling, plenty of meat, good meat! Filled me up for sure. Would hate to live close to this place as I'd be fat constantly drunk. Oh yes, a pint of ipa was less than £4! £3.65. Bargain! What a place! And no, I am not affiliated with it at all. Just on holiday Dog friendly too!
