Bidrage med feedbackSat down for 10 minutes. no menus given. Have to ask for it. Ordered steamed fish but got a smelly fish. No apology given and the manager just took the fish away and said nothing wrong with it. Will never go back there again
I first visited this restaurant two years ago for dim sum and hoped to return to try their dinner menu. Finally did that last night. We had a party of 15 and the restaurant had a large enough table to fit us comfortably. Usually when the party is this large many Chinese restaurants will recommend a set menu with 8 10 courses which would include appetizers, soup, whole chicken, lobster, fish, etc... typical of what you may get at a wedding/anniversary/birthday banquet. Our family tends to enjoy more casual fare and have our favourite go to dishes at Cantonese restaurants. I was happy that the waiter did not pressure us into a set menu and instead let us order whatever we wanted even though it meant that we would be spending a lot less money this didn't affect our service at all (and it shouldn't). The waiter did caution that the regular sized dishes is made (and priced) to serve 4 6 people and suggested that we order 1 1/2 portions and be charged accordingly what a fantastic idea! We ordered Sweet Sour Pork, Salt Pepper Pork Chops, Ginger Onion Beef, Whole Crispy Chicken, Saute Shrimp With Broccolli, Stir Fried Snow Pea Leaves, and Cantonese Fried Noodles. With the exception of the snow pea leaves and noodles we had all the dishes as 1 1/2 orders. The flavour was good and cooked in traditional Cantonese style no bells and whistles, just the way we like it. The prices for these dishes were very reasonable. The service and quality of food is exactly what I would expect at this price point definitely not exceptional, or even excellent, but I really have no complaints either. The only two criticism we had was that rice was $2.50 per bowl we ended up paying $27.50 for just rice alone and the waiter was kind of sloppy. When the waiter was serving our dessert soup he wasn't even trying to keep it in the bowls we actually had a good laugh the dessert soup was spilled over the serving bowl, dripping across the table and sometimes missing the soup bowl itself. It literally looked like a 4 year old was trying to serve us! The bill came to $197.50 which included taxes (but not tip) very reasonable for a dinner for 15 people. If you are not looking for fancy plating decor, expensive seafood, or over the top 5 star service, you may want to give this place a try.
We had a wonderful family dinner. The service was very good. The seafood was fresh and cooked just right. Money was well spent for dinner here. We would stop by again and try the dim sum.
Prices are average for dinner. Dim sum is good and price before 11 am is fantastic. This place is always busy for dim sum, so go early. Seafood for dinner was good, but I don;t think as good as other specialty seafood restaurants like Fishman Lobster House. I always order my dim sum from this place for events. Fried shrimp rolls and shrimp balls are my favs
Ordered steam lobster 4lbs and once we done we have to go to washroom right away probably they used too much MSG and this is my reaction to this ingredient. No service but low price cuisine so can't complaint but beware if you have allergy to MSG as I do.
