Southern Girls Take 2 - Uniondale

The turkey wings wee just ok. If needed more seasoning and not just salt. The corn bread was just a bite not enough for the cost. The best thing wa the string beans and that was very expensive as well.

Best fried pork chops... Mac and cheese w/ yams are ok. Good cakes and potato salad is a hit or miss

I was super excited when Sourhern Girls 2 opened in LI and am proud to say that I am a regular customer. However on 9/5 I placed an order for a fish shrimp dinner along with a chicken dinner. I was incredibly disappointed!! The shrimp was soggy overcooked; the collard greens weren't seasoned at all, the candied yams were mashed/mushy yams. Since that dinner wasn't edible, I moved on to the chicken dinner, which was supposed to be my dinner for the next night. Unfortunately I was let down once again; SG2 gave me 2 large burnt chicken breasts both pieces of cornbread were undercooked. I didn't even bother eating the collard greens or mac cheese; both dinners went in the trash! I'm not sure if SG2 has a new chef or was having an off day, but I sure hope this isn't indicative of things to come. I ended up having a PB J for dinner and going to bed hangry. Again I'm sooooo disappointed!!
