Mi Islita - Union City

Just moved to the area from South Jersey and was desperate to find great Spanish food andddddd I did!!! Sancocho is my go to when its chilly out and it was so good! The carne guisada was also excellent. Definitely my new favorite place! I wouldve posted a pic of my meal but it smelled so good when it arrived that I tore it up lol

My first time placing an order sorry will not again! This food is too expensive for what we received, and we never had the option to choose sides or anything, the Pollo guisado was really small, 2 pieces only what is that? the Bistec in sauce was also small, Tostones were soggy no flavor, the only thing that was alright was the Empanada de Carne, I have placed orders from other spanish cuisines and never was this way. I dont recommend! Waste of money and time!

Fast food prep, but horrible quality. We were very hungry, as we hadnt eaten since breakfast, and even like that we left half the empanadas because they just didnt taste good! The Guava/Cheese empanadas had the most disgusting artificial sauce in them. Plus one of them also arrived broken, so that the sauce was all over the bags. Not recommended, just order somewhere else

I ordered the roasted chicken and a Cuban sandwich and both were out of this world, bursting with flavor... highly recommend this place.
