Mister Jim's - Ungerer St, North Mackay

Today at lunch my wife and I went to Mr Jim's. We mentioned that we had our first date at Mr Jim's 50 years ago. After we got our order the manager came by and gave us a gift certificate to celebrate that we still came to eat there. Later the owner came by and said hello. What a great gesture from very nice people. The food isn't only great the people there are as well.

This was my first time trying this restaurant because me and the wife want a good Philly cheesesteak. The cheesesteak was juicy and flavorful. The steak fries are fresh and crunchy. I would have posted a picture but I ate it all. Next time Parking: You can park in front of the restaurant

We have come into Mister Jim's pretty frequently over the past couple years and have been very pleased. Had a really disappointing visit recently where the wait was 20 minutes longer than it is supposed to be and the staff seemed incredibly disorganized. Observed a handful of customers in the same situation and only continued to get worse as the evening went on

Went to Mr Jim’s today. Sub was sloppily thrown together. Place was a mad house. Screaming kids and arguing staff. Won’t be back.

Use to be at the ocean front , but still worth the drive to Chesapeake. Great verity
