Osteria Pieri Mortadele - UDINE

Great atmosphere and cutting mortadella this thick is great. Only come if you're non-vegetarian lol. Loved IT

Went for drinks on a Saturday afternoon stayed for three hours. Nothing like it in Friuli. Great atmosphere, great food loud and boisterous not your typical osteria. No visit to Udine is complete without a visit to Pieri’s.

At the back there is a big table with stoles. The toilet is alaturca. We had sandwiches, 4/6 euro each. They were a bit to dry. Just a drop of olive oil and ham. They should improve the sandwiches for sure. The white wine we asked wasn’t very cold. 2 euro to pay for a carafe of sparkling water. Weird! 1 plate of 100 gr parma ham 4 euro. It was full of fat but at least testy. The room behind has no windows, therefore dark but cozy.
