Arteaga's Mexican Food

Easily the BEST Mexican food in Joshua Tree and possibly southern California. I have been all over the world and searching for authentic Mexican cuisine. Trust me when I say this is LEGITIMATELY one the tastiest Mexican food restaurant finds there is I loved the old school feel inside the restaurant. They even serve you glass bottled coke or fanta. Chips and salsa are plentiful and awesome! The food is straight up delicious and made to order. Dad in the back is chef while daughter is working the front with sweet stellar customer service and tentative food service skills- the restaurant was busy and she held it down remarkably well. Food is a 10! Service is a 10! Eat here! It is a 10!

Sorry…in this 8 week trip we had a lot of Mexican food. But this was the first restaurant we would not recommend. No sizzling plate for the (smallest we ever had! fajitas and therefore pretty expensive and just plastic and Styropor in the restaurant?! That’s not really a place I want to eat. COVID is getting a reason for less less less service. For take away it is ok plastic and Styropor but not in a restaurant.

Such a great place that serves good Mexican food. We (my friends and I) were visiting from out of town and truly we just wanted some place to have food nearby our hosting house. Thanks to Google maps we were able to see the menu and their food. This place its really good, with the right portions enough to fill us up. So glad we tried it out on our way put of 29 Palms.

We didn't expect to find such delicious Mexican food in the middle of the desert that is Twentynine Palms! Plus, the staff are sweet and were very friendly during our meal. No complaints at all.

We were heading in the Joshua tree and wanted to eat before we went into the park and I found this place on Google. Really good food and our server was amazing. Didn’t have to ask for anything she just kept bringing us chips and salsa and water, anything we wanted. My wife got the fish plate which was absolutely amazing and I got the Wet Chicken burrito. Really good, both meals. Highly recommend. Our server’s boyfriend should really try the fish it’ll change his life
