Lai Lai - Tuscaloosa

There's honestly no restaurant better than Lai Lai in Tuscaloosa, and certainly no better Chinese restaurant. The owners, Jimmy and Lisa, are some of the nicest people I have ever met, and take a lot of pride in making the restaurant a wonderful place. The food is spectacular, with many incredible original recipes like the Green Bean Chicken, and Black Pepper Beef, and they are always adding new things to the menu. The milk teas are especially amazing. I'd eat here every day if I could, and plenty of people do just that.

Loved it the food was the best Chinese food that I have ever ate in my life. I couldn't believe it I've been to Taiwan and China and have not had food this fresh and good.

YOU MUST GO HERE!!!! This place is seriously the best! The food is great, the entire restaurant is VERY clean, and I have never had a more 'family oriented ' experience anywhere else. There were customers thanking and greeting the owner, Ms. Lisa, personally. My husband and I went for Valentine 's Day and Ms. Lisa had the whole place decorated and there were fresh flowers on all the tables. She gave valentines cards to any kids that came in and she even came over to our table and personally gave us valentine 's candy at the end of our meals! Again, we loved the food and we have never had a more pleasant experience at a restaurant. This is how restaurants should be run and how customers should be treated, just like family!!

Chinese food is one of my favorites and I have not been able to find anywhere in Tuscaloosa that offers more authentic Chinese food than Lai-Lai. Delicious food in a comfortable, casual atmosphere.

The food is incredible, the chef is ridiculously talented, and the owner is the sweetest woman I've ever met. She always brings out cookies or orange slices to large parties or regulars and always stops to talk even when she's busy.
