Lounasravintola Turku Metropol

An inauspicious restaurant not so far from the centre of town and a stone's throw from the pedestrian precinct this restaurant is surprising in many ways. Walking through the door one is immediately struck by the american-style booths and large buffet tables full of salads, pickles, breads, pastas, hot food, pizza and soup options. In addition the bar offers customers a wealth of wine and spirit drinks, should they be desired. For an inexpensive cost the lunch buffet is extremely good value which is quite evident by its popularity and includes coffee, and cake dessert. The staff too, are friendly, energetic and attentive inasmuch that no food selections are ever in short supply and are replenished regularly. The tables are also clean and tidy and kept so by proactive members of the staff. It is well worth the cost and a place that I would willing go back to for a good wholesome lunch. If I had one criticism at all it would be that the volume of the music could be turned down slightly, otherwise it was a good experience.

My Partner had the buffet and I got the chicken. The portion was really generous and cooked just the right way for me! I have enjoyed the salad and fries but could not finish it, it was huge. We would have liked to go back and try other things but we were limited by time in Turku! Kiitos!

Were were having lunch together on my son ' s 22nd birthday, just the two of us. It was a buffet table. The owner monitored us and what we had. When we were finishing the meal and were about to take the mousse for dessert he came to us and started yelling at us as we hadn ' t eaten up the dishes and there were some leftovers that we didn t like on the plate. Is this clear now that you take only as much as you eat , he shouted and he came in 30cm ' s distance to my face wearing no mask. And even though I had said it was perfectly clear he continued shouting the matter from the counter for the third time. We didnt answer him back but thought to ourselves this was wrong and not the kind of behaviour one should expect in our culture. He is a foreigner but should know better and act accordingly towards his clients in a business. I don 't recommend this place to anyone! Kerrassaan kamala kokemus- olimme nyt 22v täyttävän poikani kanssa synttärilounaalla ja paikan omistaja monitoroi syömistämme ja kun lautaselle jäi ruokaa, josta emme olleet pitäneet, saimme kuulla kovaäänistä moitetta kolmeen otteeseen. Aluksi hän tuli 30cm päähän kasvoistani, oli vihaisen näköinen ja korotti ääntään kysyen, onko nyt ymmärretty, että täällä syödään loppuun se mikä otetaan. Hänellä ei ollut koronamaskia. Vielä tiskiltä hän huusi saman uudelleen. Se, että tämä on tasoton paikka tuli kyllä meille selväksi! HP

Looking for an lunch restaurant? this is a good choice, with normal Finnish lunch alternatives, like meatballs and mashed potatoes (menu varies) to enen pizza. price ok to be in Turku anyhow.

If you looking cheap buffet in downtown lunch this is your choice. There is good selection of salad and very friendly owner think he was the owner). Hot food there is only couple choices which were ok just little too salty.
