Very friendly, tasty and gay food, a Brazilian waiter who goes above and beyond to please us, prepared some special meat tacos.
The hostess dropped us off immediately. Breakfast is chosen from the buffet or from the menu - we ordered it from the menu. The menu has healthy choices, and I had the avocado and poached egg on toast. The main course was delivered within 20 minutes and served hot. Menu prices are the same as a Waldorf Astoria, but a bit expensive for the Orlando area.
A group of us stuck in Mickey Land for a convention were looking for a Sunday brunch spot. Oskars in Waldorf sounded like what we wanted and off we went. While I'm not a fan of buffets, this one looked amazing, with more variety than usual including a smoked salmon bar, ham bar, and honey dripping from a honeycomb! There were a lot of families with kids so it was a bit noisy but that didn't really detract ... everything the group of 4 tried we loved. Only two things that were a little strange was that the cost of the buffet only included mimosas, not **** Marys and no eggs Benedict on the buffet. However, what impressed me most was the commitment to making the customer happy. When I got to the salmon bar it was empty even though two staff members I asked told me it would be replenished. When I mentioned it to our waiter he came back and said they were going out which was disappointing. The manager came over apologetically and said they even sent Hikton next door but they were out until Monday ... not what I wanted to hear. 15 minutes later the manager appeared with a plate of the best smoked salmon I've had in a long time ... THAT is service.
Very good selection of food, we had food from the buffet for brunch and there was a selection of fruit, meat and cheese, crepes, pancakes and a waffle station. Very elegant environment. Valet parking / forget your validation!
