Oklahoma Joe's Barbecue - Tulsa

I ordered ribs with onion rings and hush puppies. The ribs were tasty, but it seemed like they had been kept under a warming light for a while. Some bites were a bit dry, while others were tender; even the dry pieces were easy to pull away from the bone. The onion rings were a highlight—they were thick-cut and beautifully cooked. As for the hush puppies, I had the jalapeño variety, but they didn't pack much heat or have a strong jalapeño flavor. Still, they were excellent—I'm a big fan of hush puppies and always order them when I can. They were better than those at John’s, but not quite as good as those at Bubba Gump's.

I absolutely loved the ribs! They were thick, juicy, and tender, with a wonderful smoky flavor. The mac and cheese had a unique taste that was quite buttery. However, I didn't really enjoy the BBQ chips; while they had a nice crunch, they were almost tasteless. The waiter was incredibly sweet, and the prices were reasonable given the current rates for meat. They also have a charming little shop with grilling accessories.
