Bidrage med feedbackTo be honest, the food at this restaurant was subpar. It was my first time there, and my sister had recommended it as being delicious, so I had high hopes. Unfortunately, the wait for our food was incredibly long. I ordered two rolls - the Vegas roll was cold and fried, indicating it had been sitting out for a while before being served. After waiting for 40 minutes, the Dynamite roll finally arrived and it was the only saving grace of the meal. It was good, with lots of mayo and served hot. However, after serving us our food, the staff stopped checking on us and we had to wait an additional 20 minutes for our checks. Overall, I would only rate this restaurant a 5 out of 10, despite my hopes for a 10 out of 10 experience.
Oh my god?the mackerel was dry, yellow, and stinky. It was actually rotten or gone bad I kid you not. The oysters I ate one and crunched on ice. I didn?t finish anything and luckily they didn?t charge us for the bad fish, but I?m in shock. This is the worst sushi I have ever eaten or seen in my entire life, hands down. Having stomach pain already, I hope we don?t get sick from this, seriously bad raw fish is a health hazard and I?m going to look into reporting this restaurant for food safety.
The restaurant offers indulgent and flavorful Japanese dishes. The Poki Bowl, Vegas Rolls, and Nigiri Sushi were delicious, accompanied by outstanding service from Julien and his team. They were helpful in resolving order mix-ups and even provided icy shots of Jäger. Thank you for a great dining experience!
Sat for over 20 minutes while the waitress and hostess walked past us repeatedly and deliberately ignored us. We had closed our menus and made eye contact with them several times, and tried to flag them down, but they wouldn?t even acknowledge us. It wasn?t busy. The restaurant was only about 30-40% full. We ultimately left because we didn?t want to pay for a sushi dinner with inattentive staff while we were quite hungry. We haven?t been to Izumi since the beginning of the year. It was always delicious before. Perhaps there was a complete change of staff. Additionally, the menus were inconsistent.
So I first came here in hopes they did all you can eat, but that was discontinued. I decided to try it because I was hungry and had it marked on my maps as a place I wanted to try. Every cut was tasty and fresh. I?m a critic when it comes to sushi rolls, and this did not disappoint. The scallops topped on a shrimp tempura roll had a little heat but so much flavor. And the shumai was delicious. Would definitely recommend.
