Bistro 44 - Tucson

Very disappointed. I think it's a popular place because it's a simple, safe eating that native has been eating for years and using as irrigation hole, but ugh. it smells weird when you enter, slower service, everything is outdated, zero seasoned? I was just not impressed. the pictures made it seem like this amazing, hip bistro, but my small child can probably eat a better lunch than the karton we eat today.

My wife and I came to lunch and we could take a place right away. the waitress was excellent and gave us time to talk while we still get our order. the blt is a good choice and so is the burger. the whole food was perfectly cooked. also the fries were perfectly cooked. I highly recommend this place.

It is clear that this place is for many a neighboring stack! that was great. prices were equal to the quality of food. if they drink wine, I would recommend not their home options for merlot or chardonnay. it's not the worst thing I've ever had, but not really good either. spend the extra for a more high quality label. the service was decent, but we felt a bit irony, although we eat at the end of the lunch break. it is a cozy place and a beautiful atmosphere. we can try the happy hour in the future.

Our first note that we should not have eaten here is that there were two patrons throughout the restaurant when we came in. the place is older and really smells. like old pipes or water. it was very inconspicuous. the menu looked pretty good, but with the lack of ppl and the smell, I wouldn't dare to use food that requires safe handling. our waitress was nice enough, but we won't be here again. I wouldn't recommend it either.

Quiet, waitress was great. Food was good. More of a high end place for drinks. Liked the sauce on the pork tenderloin. Food portions were good.
