Yan Toh Heen provides very good and impressive lunch at reasonable price. Im willing to recommend this place to my friends.
Worth the Michelin 2 stars! And oh what a night. They even printed a gluten free tasting menu for me . Everything was perfect except the lobster was slightly over cooked but within minutes I had a second one that was wonderful. Three and half hour dinner with wine and a dry ice mango dessert, what could be better. Don’t go if you don’t want to pay though, because it is very expensive!
I guess it was not the smartest choice to have the Peking Duck at this restaurant, as I'm sure it is not the best dish to showcase the chef's skills. The Peking Duck was fine not the best example I have had, but well presented with a range of condiments. The frog's legs (on the chef's recommendation list) were oily and nondescript, while the vegetable dishes could have come from any quality Cantonese restaurant. A reasonable meal, but a bit difficult to swallow at $500 USD, and not special enough to warrant two Michelin stars. The restaurant is beautifully furnished, wait staff were mostly well versed but lacking warmth, and the overall ambiance was on the sterile side. While I would love to be able to recommend this restaurant, there are better places to drop this amount of money in HK.
Thank you. Foods are all good. We enjoyed real Chinese dishes. We want to taste more dishes. Your hospitality was very good. You offered us good table. Senery was very good. We enjoyed night view, especially symphony of night!
