Le Bistrot de L'Artot - Troyes

We fell without previous knowledge to this restaurant, in which almost a pedestrian zone in the old town, which was just the road from our overnight stay. The owner had previously really helped us find the accommodation that... obviously often happens. It is located in a zone where you only have access to the park if you have a resident a pass, so you have to park outside zone controlled by Bollards, but definately worth the short walk. The place is relatively small, inconvenient and was almost empty when we arrived. It has interesting wall art! It's filled quickly. The food was excellent. The kind of delicious meals you hoped would find you in a family-run bistro that is difficult to find. Served in a friendly atmosphere. We had both "Casserole" main dishes, a beef, a lamb, whose Russian names I forget that on the grounds of someone who knows how to cook had been cooked with fresh ingredients. Excellent. The price was modest for what we had. I'd go back without a doubt. The owner even offered to let us use his parking lot when we asked for directions to the next public parking, what a nice soul!!! It was an unexpected bonus for our overnight stay in Troyes. Would recommend

The menu changes day by day and has local ingredients. Owners Homer and his wife are owner chef . Fantastic food in a great location, the basic decor hidden a magical experience.

Really excellent Russian farewell. We went on a Saturday night without reservations and were lucky. We ordered the day menu. All tasty decisions with beautiful people participating. Don't miss it.

We were a group of 18 so they gave us a special deal and closed the restaurant for us. From start to finish we were totally spoilt. With delicious canapés and a lovely punch to start before we even sat down for our 4 course...meal. Husband and wife team who work very hard. The food is fantastic. Great value. Simple decor with some interesting items to view. Would revisit if we returned to Troyes.

We had a fantastic meal here on the day Boris Johnson resigned; Service was superb and the food divine, we felt as if we won the lottery on all counts. Thanks for a wonderful evening, we would definitely be back!
