Granite City Food Brewery - Troy

The worst dining experience I’ve had in my entire life. We scheduled a table four days in advance for Mother’s Day. Our table was scheduled for 3:30 we were sat at 4pm. Waters for the table came down at 4:30 pm followed by our drinks at 5:00 a full hour after we have been sat. After ordering food for the night we had our entries arrive a full 2 hours after sitting down (3 hours after arriving to the restaurant) and had two orders come incorrectly with my grand fathers meal not arriving at all. Our waiter has a breakdown at this point and is crying, while my table and multiple other try’s to reassure him and get him to relax… a kitchen staff employee comes out at this point and gives my grandfather a attitude about his order and ask” what he wants to eat” while the entire table has their food in boxes… do not come here…. It was a 350$ dinner for a service you can receive that would not even compete with Waffle House. Complete joke.

The restaurant management staff allowed far too many reservations for Mothers Day. We had to wait over 30 minutes to get sat despite the reservation. While our waitress was very attentive the kitchen staff really dropped the ball, multiple items came out ice cold and they were missing key ingredients to dishes. Props to the wait staff for dealing with the kitchen and front of house letting them down.

Granted it was Mother's Day, probably one of the busiest restaurant days of the year... but our experience was not great. I would suggest management be more present to offer to help with refills, bussing tables, checking on patrons. Our son's pizza sat in a window for over 20 mins until served and it arrived hard and dry. Our server did the best she could given the circumstances. Also very loud, but we were seated at a table placed directly adjacent to the kitchen.

Noise level was so high at dinner that trying to converse in a booth was difficult. Flatbread was good. Chicken pot pie was made with deli sliced chicken sliver and was mainly a sauce. Not worth it at all. Fish and chips used to be better. Something changed and quality lower.

This is awsome. Angela was so nice. She even gave me a birthday desert. This place was amazing. -written by my 10yr old son, but I second this. The food was good (fish and chips, and spin dip) and the staff, especially Angela was amazing. Highly recommend!
