Speilsalen - Trondheim

Wonderful atmosphere, impeccable service, friendly young chefs who take time to explain in detail the dishes, their inspiration and the sourcing of the ingredients. Whilst a generally classical approach is taken to cooking, the dishes are innovative and delicious and this is one of the best food experiences I have ever had. I fully expect that this creativity and attention to detail will be rewarded with a prized second Michelin star soon. Highly recommended.

We sat at chef's table and had a great view of the expertise of the artisans preparing the food. A wonderful selection of seafood dishes, beautifully presented and perfectly paired with the wines. The chefs preparing the dishes were friendly and provided great explanations of the product sourcing and preparation techniques and the ambience of the restaurant was something to remember. Highly recommended.

Superb dinner, every course of the tasting menu intriguing and enjoyable, wine pairings very good, service exemplary.

WOW! Me and partner visited Hotel Britannia last weekend and were fortunate enough to get to experience Speilsalen. We've travelled to many Michelin star restaurants across Europe, and this was arguably the best overall experience we've both had. The presentation of the food was out of this world, the flavours were just as better, and the upgraded wine package was the perfect match. This was by far the best wine pairing we've ever had so I'd like to give a special thank you to Henrik, the restaurant's Head Somalier for not only his knowledge, but also his level of service to ensure that we were looked after throughout the whole evening. We'll be back very soon. Thanks a lot to everyone.

Visited shortly before the restaurant received their first star in Michelin guide. The premises are stunning and gives an extra flair to the experience. The food, presentation and service level is a true joy from beginning to end. Sorry we don’t live closer to Trondheim.
