The restaurant is located next to the Hindu temple in the area and is quite spacious. After a long tuk tuk ride, we arrived at 8pm. Upon entering, we removed our shoes and washed our hands. The restaurant was bustling with activity, with more people continuing to arrive even after us. However, to our surprise, the servers informed us that they had stopped serving food 30 minutes ago, despite food still being served to others around us and the posted opening hours indicating service until 10pm. They refused to serve us and left us standing awkwardly in the middle of the restaurant. This was a stark contrast to our experiences at other local restaurants during our travels, where we were usually made to feel welcome. It felt as though we were discriminated against simply for being foreigners. This was disappointing as we have otherwise had a fantastic experience in Sri Lanka. While this review may not impact their business, we want to caution other foreigners that they may encounter a similar situation.
Located next to the Golden Laxmi Temple, 2 kilometers north of Uppuveli in Trincomalee, this restaurant offers delicious and affordable food. They serve different rice and curry dishes for lunch, all-you-can-eat for 180 Lkr. In the evening, they offer a variety of parathas, pooris, and dosas. The restaurant is open daily from 8:00 am to 10:00 am, 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm, and 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm.

Had nothing in the menu available. even the offered were bad, longer waiting time, tasteless eating, bad service, they use the gott name to keep this business. completely unacceptable.
