Il Frantoio - TREVIGNANO ROMANO

Generous portions of salad but nothing remarkable about it. The fried vegetables were good but a tad salty for us. It was a slow night and families were there with kids running around so perhaps that has shaded this review. Also our meal choice may not have represented their best work. The dessert was excellent. Waitress was friendly.

Large restaurant with nice gardens, outside dining possibilities on the terrace and with a lovely view over looking Lake Bracciano. Situated just outside the town of Trevignano, the restaurant has ample parking (parking in Trevinano town is a nightmare! as well as a small play area for children. Very popular in the summer but when we visited at lunch time in February it was not busy and service was excellent. Waiter courteous and helpful and it is possible to ask which items are gluten free. Excellent fish salad selection on the menu as a 'starter ', among other things. Fish and meat, but no pizzas on the menu. Their pana cotta is also excellent. For two people, with a starter starter, two mains, coffee and one desert and including a half carafe of house wine was reasonable at 58euros. Probably a good venue for a large gathering or wedding reception.

My husband and I just celebrated our ceremony and reception at Il Frantoio in Trevignano, a place we discovered while dining there for our anniversary. The food is absolutely delicious, the location offers a breathtaking view of the enchanting Lake Bracciano and the setting is absolutely perfect for anyone wanting a rustic/chic wedding. Linda and her staff were wonderful to work with, quick to respond to all of our questions and always available with a kind smile and eager to help. Our wedding day was absolutely perfect and I would definitely recommend Il Frantoio not only for big events but for a wonderful lunch or dinner as well.

Nice place, a small slow service, it was Sunday, and the eel disappointed me.

Lovely place with breathtaking views, convenient private parking. enter and welcomes you in a cozy and original environment but the surprise comes when you need great and special food.
