Bidrage med feedbackWe have been to this marvellous restaurant and bar many times over the last three years, both with family and as a couple and have never left disappointed. Not only is the food excellent and great value, the welcome is always warm and friendly.A superb place and one that we expect to visit many times again.
This bar tabac, epicerie and cafe will be discovered eventually and will deserve the accolades that will be showered upon it. Fronting on to the main street of Tregrom and approached through the usual drab bar, the dining room is bright and airy with no pretensions. At lunchtime there is a choice of three starters, three plats du jour, a plate of cheeses and a choice of three desserts a carafe of wine. The fixed price of 11.50 would be astonishing were it not for the high quality of dishes presented in which case it is just amazing!
We have eaten here on many occasions, and the food has never disappointed. The venue is clean and bright with a small shop attached selling local produce. There is a lunchtime menu from 12 - 2pm serving 3 choices of starter, main course and dessert. There is always one fish choice on the first two courses. The chef (owner) is from Paris and speaks pretty good English, his wife is the waitress. Nice little touches, such as ** (two stars) denoting fully made in his kitchen, and * (one star) meaning partly made by himself. The food is superb, particularly the fish which is prepared in the most delicious sauces and always piping hot. Included in the price of 12.5 euros is a carafe of wine, 3 courses as previously mentioned, bread and coffee! What is not to like about this wonderful restaurant? The village of Tregrom also has a beautiful river which has designated walks along it, so if you fancy a nice walk and a wonderful lunch afterwards at Le Ch'ti Klakenn (12 - 2pm, Tuesday to Saturday,) Cedrique would be delighted to see you!
The restaurant is only open lunchtimes for what I would call "workman's lunch", but it is far from it. The restaurant and facilities are bright and clean. The menu is 12,50 euros for four courses including wine or soft drink. Portions are generous and the quality very good. Some good home made food especially the seafood quiche starter. Will definitely be returning!
