Trattoria Alla Pesa - TREGNAGO

We dropped into Alla Pesa thinking we would get a quick pasta or pizza: there was a written menu which looked interesting, but then the staff persuaded us to go for their menu touristica ? which included a big starter followed by a first course with unlimited table wine and sparkling water for 12 euros each! The food was delicious, and the staff very friendly. Definitely recommended!

What an incredible restaurant, a gem to find! Run by two young Italian families (Husbands and Wives) teams. With inside and outside dining, nothing seems too much trouble. It is welcoming and friendly, with smiles from all staff, which is extremely useful when ones Italian isn 't fully formed! Ha ha, infact only just crawling! However, there is English spoken, so that helps.....well helps me anyhow. Back to the food ....there is a 'Tasting selection ' Menu.....think this is only on a Thursday but please check as you cannot miss this experience. It involves so many courses and cooking fish styles that it is difficult to explain, you really do have to see it with your eyes and taste it for yourself. Suggest that you would need to book as word has spread....a restaurant not to be missed. Albeit, we went in the evening, the restaurant is open all day and there is a small bar area, should you just want a coffee, tea or Panini etc. Always a lovely welcome for whatever you go in for. Do try it before you make your way further into the mountains.

The fish food is nice and the wine too, but definitely overpriced especially if you consider they they label themselves as a trattoria and a rustic trattoria is.
