Pizza Express - Trafford

We visited Pizza Express, Hale, Ashley Rd last Saturday (1st). There were 4 of us and 3 of our party, including my daughter are coeliac, I have allergies too- nuts, tomatoes and milk we are also a mixture of vegetarian and vegan. I hope I have the names correct- Our server Max is outstanding at his job, the service is fantastic here, he went through the menu with us and explained the app to us. Brilliant waiter! The manager, who has recently been promoted, Reser, is an asset to your management team, he went above and beyond ensuring all our food was perfect and all our allergies and intolerances were taken very seriously, he too helped us with the pizza express app, which we appreciated greatly! We had a lovely talk with him about his journey with Pizza Express and how much he enjoys working with his team and for the company, as a customer I felt his love for his job, his care and passion and that shone through to all of us. Thank you. Thank you to the chef, Jee, food outstanding and everything perfectly cooked- nothing was any trouble, it truly is delicious food! Thank you to Freya too, who also looked after us, her menu knowledge and care is phenomenal. We all appreciate how much you all as a team looked after us thank you, we will definitely be returning.

The service was friendly albeit a bit slow inwent with 2 children on a friday night and it wasnt full. After an hour however we hadnt been served the main courses. My main issue however was the classic Margherita Pizza which was more like Tomato Garlic Bread with a spattering of cheese. Doughy and flimsy with sod all cheese .

We came here for something to eat on a Saturday evening before a flight from Manchester Airport. On arrival, we noticed that the restaurant was busy, but we had reserved a table so didn't think anything of it. We stood waiting to be acknowledged by a member of staff for about 5 minutes before the duty manager came across to us. He pointed us in the direction of a table and we made our way across to it. We quickly discovered that the table had been a table of 4 which had been split into two tables of two (so much for booking). There was about a 4 inch gap to the table on my left and as we soon found out, about 9 inches from someone seated at the table to my right. We were given menus fairly quickly but then waited for 15 minutes to place an order. That pace of service continued through the rest of the evening with a speed that would have embarrassed a snail. The staff really didn't seem bothered about being there, an attitude which was summed up by the duty manager who was never anywhere to be seen. The food was ok. Our pizzas were nice but the dough ball starter had a minimal amount of garlic butter, so it was just warm bread really. There are too many other restrictions to try so we won't be coming back here.

Busy Saturday night but we had great meal some new pizza's to try and the service particularly from Joe really good for a young man

Don’t believe any offers received from this restaurant business as they don’t stand by them manager couldn’t even be bothered to discuss my complaint I’ll post further information on a regular basis once I’ve been in touch with the hierarchy shambles of a night out ruined by the ineptitude of Pizza Express and it’s management
