Chico Rio - Townsville

Our first visit to Chico Rio and we had the complete buffet as a late birthday dinner. Manbeast has declared it his new favorite place! Super friendly and attentive servers, and a wide selection of BBQ and secondary dishes. We started early at 6 pm, so we are able to get into the groove of things before it was busy, and the use of the meat traffic light stick cacheamabob to slow down the offers is a must. Do not be shy either, you can take more than 1 piece of the spear, or ask a dish to be brought to you specifically. Favourite were the super juicy pineapples, garlic beef and bacon wrapped chicken. Manbeast was also a fan of bbq pork, and the black beans and bacon, and potato salad secondary dishes. The Brazilian blueberry soda was delicious, and we already have our eyes on the cocktail menu for our next visit. There was a slight snafu with my 2nd garlic bread side not coming out, but the manbeast got happy another bowl of beans instead, and it turns out that I was already too full and would have done the super crispy garlic bread no justice. I wasn't cleaned out how I wanted it again. Only smaller cons, but it will still mention for sale of completeness. The dishes were a bit worn (buffet slaughter scars), and the knife in the tableware was blunt as a butter knife. The table was a bit wobbly. A few pieces of meat were dry, near the middle of the spear, and a few pieces I have been happy to have a fat-grief lumbar. I left them on the side of my plate and pushed them to the next meaty offer.

Had a nice dinner in Chico Rio Townsville. The food was great and the staff was helpful. Various pieces of meat were perfectly grilled and the overall experience was fantastic. Keep the good work... the best.

It's been several times. The food is consistent. The great meat skewers that always come back make you drool and the choices, good scrumptious. Then there are the pages, favorites are the rugged bananas, cinnamon pineapples and the black beans... There are several menu options, go to everything you can eat for a belly full of great food...

Went to Chico Rio for dinner with friends tonight. Absolutely amazing. Food was cooked perfectly, lots of variety and never stopped coming until we couldn’t fit more. staff were all helpful and friendly, cocktails was fabulous too… can’t fault anything. Highly recommend.
