Guzman y Gomez (Townsville Central Village)

The food was fantastic and the atmosphere was very laid-back. The staff was so friendly and accommodating, they even offered to replace a dish that was too spicy for us. Thank you to the team for their excellent service.

I went to this restaurant on $5 burrito day and it was extremely busy. Despite the crowds, they had enough staff who were all friendly and enthusiastic. The food was delicious, perfectly cooked, and not rushed. I will definitely return.

Dearest GYG: your food is delicious, sufficiently spicy, and possibly the closest approximation of Mexican food that Townsville will ever be graced with. One error with syntax, however: the enchilada is not a true enchilada but is technically a wet burrito (nonetheless tasty).
