Bidrage med feedbackThis is NOT what Sweet Sue's used to be. I loved going to Phoenicia just for Sweet Sues pancakes and was devastated when I heard of their closing. But then I heard they had re-opened under new ownership and got excited. But the pancakes are no where near as good or as big as they used to be. I used to get 2 pancakes that were bigger than the plate and could only eat half and took the rest home. They were by far the best pancakes ever. But the new pancakes taste no where near the same as the old, and are much smaller. This should not be called Sweet Sue's anymore at all. It is no where near the same as what the original was. Also I find it quite deceiving that Google has the reviews from the original Sweet Sue's in with the new. That is giving this new Sweet Sue's a much higher rating than it deserves in my opinion.
Cute and quaint with outdoor seating as well. The specialty teas are amazing! I am not sure if this is accurate but there is a floor manager or maybe owner or owners son that is all over the place. Tried to chat my wife and I up explaining the many changes made over the years. Honestly that had zero to do with my lunch or my review. Just wanted to make a note that maybe he shouldn't be customer facing. The curly hair n sandals w Brooklyn bro vibe was unkempt and unprofessional. My meal was the brisket sandwich. Tasted great and smelled so good cooking..was a great pairing with the garlic curly fries. All well until later that night. I spent the rest of my day with burping and heinous noxious smells escaping my mouth. I wish that was the least of my issues. My only meal was this that day. I spent my afternoon and night miserable. My advice....eat with caution.
EXCELLENT BREAKFAST! While vacationing in the Catskills for Memorial Day, we stopped at Sweet Sue's. The service was fantastic and the food was unique and delicious. The eatery had a small town feel and the food was artisan and unlike traditional diners. Definitely worth stopping.
Lovely little diner/Cafe. Fast friendly service with great food! Set in Cute little town to stroll through after!
Pleasant surprise addition to Phoenicia. Don’t know why I missed it but luckily found this cute cafe on the main retail strip in town. The coffee is locally roasted and worth the Java jolt. The veggie omelette and summer peach cobb salad was amazing. And pastries are a must. This will be my go to stop every time I am in the area.
