Silver Star - Town of Evans

I have been going to the Silver Star Restaurant since I was a kid. I swear this place is probably as old as the city of Airdrie itself. I haven't lived in Airdrie since I finished high school, but I still make my back to visit the Silver Star. Nothing fancy on the inside, but the place is clean, and the food and staff are terrific. Silver Star is without a doubt the best Chinese restaurant in town.

We have been here several times and have always had decent food and good service up until our last visit. Knowing that New Years Eve was going to be busy, I pre-ordered our food 2 days prior. When I showed up I was told “we haven’t started it and you should go home until I call you”. I explained that I do not live in town and that I ordered it two days ago. A lady (The Owner?? came out yelling “what’s your problem can’t you see we are busy. What, you want to see my kitchen, you want to kill me now”. Wow, definitely not what I was expecting. yes I was disappointed but a simple I 'm sorry, Ill get it prepared right away would have been an appropriate response. I truly hope she reads this review as it really should have been at least a 4-5 star.

They are the best and always the freshest of foodies! Their Salt n Pepper squid is a true test as it's always made perfect everytime!

Had a few bites and fed the rest to my dogs. Was not ment for human consumption.
