Elvie's - Tougaloo

Duck fat french fries! Impressive location. Quaint restaurant with limited seating. Duck fat french fries! Every morsel is flavorful. I went for brunch and dinner. I'm in love with the green juice for brunch and the chicken pasta for diner. Did I mention the duck fat French fries??

This was my first time and it won’t be my last. Kayla guided us through the menu and we were not disappointed. From our cocktails through every course she was great. The Tomato Carpaccio was such a strong starter. It was even better than the excellent crab claws. The entrees included the Cacio e Pepe with mushrooms and Amber Jack Bouillabaisse with clams. Kayla guided us to these as well and they were perfect. The wine pairing that she suggested was spot on as well. Dessert was a Baked Alaska with smoked vanilla ice cream and chocolate cake. Would change a thing about the whole evening!

Breakfast was outstanding! One of the best omelets I have ever had. Grits were excellent. Very friendly service. Coffee was surprisingly weak, but overall this was a great spot for a relaxing breakfast. Would love to return for dinner.

I’ve been dining at Elvie’s for a couple years now, and I’ve been so impressed with the consistency of this restaurant! The drinks (non-alcoholic too) and food quality are ALWAYS amazing, and I love that they bring in chefs to keep the menu alive. The atmosphere is nice. I come in on the fly and almost instantly get seated (though reservations are encouraged). The staff is very pleasant. As a native Jacksonian, I am grateful Elvie’s exists and is thriving. I often recommend it to locals and tourists alike. Keep up the great work!

Wow oh wow! Elvie's is honestly hands down the best food I've had in Mississippi and is an absolute treasure for the Jackson food scene. Thier menu and guest chef series reminds me of something you would see in a bigger city, but here they are in Jackson blessing us with their food wizardry!
