Sawyers Restaurant Bar - Torrington

Walking in, the exquisite chill music set the mood, our server, Hannah was the best, so attentive and served the best drinks. The food was out of this world and just what we needed after a fall hike. This is one of those diamonds in the rough. I had passed by a number of times without thinking anything of it. But, looking for something new, I gave it a shot. Very happy I did. It has the feel of a local pub. A bunch of beers on tap. Friendly bar staff. Casual but nice enough for a date night. I had the salmon burger and it was exceptionally good. Cooked perfectly so it wasn't dry. Lots of flavor. I'd recommend it. Next time, I'm trying the spicy shrimp appetizer...next table over had it and it looked really good. I'll be back. Worth trying if you're in Torrington and interested in something off the beaten path.

Fast friendly service. Good food and nice atmosphere make for a very nice night out. We have been to Sawyers a few times now and we have not been disappointed yet. I can recommend the burger and wings. We were lucky one night to go when they had live music and the that was awesome. Service: Dine in Price per person: $30–50

Torrington has some great food options and Sawyers was definitely one of them. I just got a burger, but they really cooked it right, which sadly isn't always the case. If your a medium rare lover and have been often handed a medium well, I know you feel me, it's so frustrating! Truffle fries cooked well and were tasty, I'd like to come back and try other options. Staff was friendly and great, and the owner, cool guy, was really nice and very knowledgeable of the area and gave great advice and recommendations for local services and restaurants, if you're new to the area I'd highly suggest visiting here and if you're a local.... well you're probably already there!
