Bidrage med feedbackOur business host brought us here. This is the second time to have visited this restaurant and both times the food has been good quality. The restaurant owner has held this business for many years and obviously cares about his customers.
Today I was on a business trip and I visited a company nearby this restaurant. More than a restaurant in the modern sense of the world, this is more a locanda , which means the canteen of an inn. Yes, this was and still is one of the typical restaurants where the wayfarers were used to stop for a cheap meal. Nowadays it 's still a very simple restaurant where the truck drivers and traveling salesmen are used to stop for a refreshment. I am not sure about other countries, but in Italy to see a parking lot full of trucks it means that the food has a very good value for money and the portions are abundant. I ordered cappelletti (similar to tortellini in Bologna or Modena which were as good as expected. Then I had a portion of coniglio in porchetta (pork style roasted rabbit . I like rabbit very much and my mum makes one of the best roasted ones...... well, this one was absolutely superb. The presentation was very minimalist (a polite way to say that it was just a piece of meat on a white dish, well this is not a fine dining multi starred Michelin place: what the heck would you expect? , but the taste and the texture were really very good and I was tempted to order another portion. It can easily compete with mom 's one, and being Italian it 's like to say that it was even better. I am not going to take a return flight from China to come here again, for sure not, but I am sure that I will keep this place in consideration next time I come to Villa Verucchio. Sempre buone, piccole cappelle e tagliatelle speciali. servizio molto veloce (abbiamo mangiato il primo secondo piatto dolce e caffè in meno di un'ora la domenica a pranzo) gentile e personale sorridente. ultimo ma non meno importante il conto: molto onesto.
