Pizzeria Mamma Mia - Torres Vedras

Comida excelente, atendimento exemplar, muito simpáticos. Com vista para o mar.

We have family near by so use a flat just up the road as a base while we’re visiting we use Mamma Mia as a regular spot for dinner. The food is consistently good and the service is always warm and welcoming if you make the effort to try your Portuguese they will help!! All the food is great but tonight i tried the Picanha (rump steak grilled and served on a skewer it came with rice, fries, black beans and cabbage and it was amazing!! The meat was perfectly cooked and so tender it melted in my mouth!!! I highly recommend this dish! My husband had the Canneloni (after trying mine a couple of nights ago and mum in law had the spag bol we thoroughly enjoyed all meals (they were all a little jealous of mine! The house white wine is lovely and so cheap silly not to have a bottle! With a €42 bill at the end, this restaurant is a “go to” place to eat if you want the certainty of great food at a good price!

From the 4 pizzerias, that i recall, in Santa Cruz this one is ranked 3rd, tied with another one (just in front). The place is packed with tables and there´s a pack of waiters and waitresses that slalom between the tables trying not to bump into each other. In spite the number of waiters the service is slow and confused, it took almost an hour from the time we ordered until the meal was served. Never the less the pizzas, pastas and the cannelloni are ok, the servings are generous. If you go during summer you will probably stand in the staircase waiting for a seat. No wheelchair accessibility.

What a great place to eat... A real local experience. It's not just for Italian food. Atmosphere can be chaotic... but the food is simply amazing.
