The meat is not smoked for any length of time or at all. The brisket and the pork had no smoke ring on it. If you smoke meat, you will get a smoke ring. Go to google images and search for smoked brisket or pork with smoke ring . You will clearly see that the pictures on their web page look nothing like the brisket or the pork from the pictures for this business. The pinkish/redish ring is the smoke ring. You wont see it here a t this place. The smoked meat does not have any bark, no binder was used for the dry rub, no dry rub was used, and no smoke flavor was present. Coming from Texas, i know my standards are high for barbecue and this might be part of my reason for the bad review. Regardless, the 4.8 stars out of 5 with 1.2K reviews are stunningly strange. People here know smoked barbecue like gringos think Taco Bell is real Mexican food. The place is nice and the staff are nice. Beyond this, it falls apart pretty quickly in terms of authentic smoked barbecue . If you walk into a barbecue restaurant and can 't smell the meat smoking, you should leave. A super nice place to hang out with very delicious food, love the cuts and the mashed potatoes, not to mention the pork beans. The attention was the best from our waiter Francisco, he was always attentive to us, from the moment we arrived he was super friendly, he gave us the best recommendations.
