Bidrage med feedbackWelcome to the Sushi California, such a lovely place, such a lovely place… Well, it is. There’s a slogan on the window outside of “sushi with a style, prices with a smile”. That’s certainly lived up to in the experience at Sushi California. We were en route to Casa Loma on this morning and due to oversleeping, went for a bit of a sushi brunch here. It’s all so cheap and it’s all made to order. So fresh, you can still feel the warmth of the sushi rice as you tuck in. We got cosy in a nice little booth and it wasn’t long for the enticing platter to arrive. We had a mix of urumaki and inari, including teriyaki chicken, mango cream cheese, spicy crab roll and deep fried with spicy salmon. It’s all so fresh and delish. The mango roll was a surprise win, although I actually appreciated the quality of the chicken too. There was so much on the plate and we had plenty to takeout as well.
Great Japanese food at an affordable price. Servers are nice. Can't complain with manpower with the price you are paying. Cozy ambience in most of their dining areas.
Great quality, fair price, good service. The sushi and sashimi pieces are big and very well done. The place also is nice. I hope go back soon!
Love this place great food, for cheap prices. The only reason I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 is because the selection I find is a bit limited in terms of sushi. I love my hwe dup bap, big teriyaki bento boxes, chirashi sushi etc. But, for rolls, tempura, sashimi, it really is great !
Best sushi in the area. I haven't tried the whole scope of sushi places in Toronto but I know what good food is. And I've been going to Sushi California for a few years now and it's SO SO GOOD! The food is fresh and their portion sizes are always perfect to fill you up, and most of the time, you'll have to take your leftovers home because they give you some nice sized pieces of sushi. I've always been iffy about sushi places because this is raw fish we're talking about and I'm not about to give myself an illness..... but I've NEVER had a problem here. the staff is friendly. the food is good. and the prices are pretty freakin good. this is the cheapest sushi i've ever had actually. i got 8 california crunch sushi and 8 philadelphia rolls and 6 beef dumplings for $13... good stuff :
