Ran by very unprofessional people, if you have not seen but there was a whole controversy regarding Jule's and a customer where Jule's ended up providing
Short of expectationsAlthough Jule had great ambience, seating and wifi access, they had a strange "minimum charge of $5 per person" rule.
My partner and I arrived at the restaurant around 6:30 PM on a quiet Tuesday evening. We were looking for a place to have a drink and relax or possibly study. When we attempted to sit at an available table, we were promptly directed to a smaller table with a "Reserved" sign that seemed to be hastily put up. Fortunately, another table nearby became available, so we politely asked a different waiter if we could move there, and he agreed. However, a third waitress approached us to take our order and mentioned that we might have to move again if necessary. This left us feeling puzzled, especially since we noticed other tables of the same size occupied by couples and individuals. We understood the limited time policy of three hours for occupying a table, but we had only been there for a few minutes. Feeling disrespected and unfairly treated, I expressed my disappointment to the waitress, who offered a brief apology before returning to her duties. We ultimately decided to leave. As a previous customer, I am disappointed in the direction this restaurant has taken. The food and prices are average, and we will be taking our business elsewhere.
I went to Jules Cafe with 2 friends for the first time and couldn't decide what to order. I ended up trying the Jules Taro slush, which was recommended by the lady there. I was surprised to see it arrive as a slush, but it turned out to be the best slush I've ever had. It was made with real taro and was half sweet, which was perfect for me as I prefer drinks to be less sweet. My friends ended up ordering the same drink after trying mine, that's how good it was! I also tried the kanto seafood soup, which was delicious with fish balls and fish cakes. The pictures don't do justice to how good the food and drinks are at Jules Cafe. Can't wait to go back and have another Jules Taro! The staff mentioned that tapioca lovers should try it with tapioca as a topping. Give it a try and let me know your thoughts!
