Bidrage med feedbackGood Hamburg steak and karaage! If you've played a game called "Cooking Mama", expect that kind of food in this place :)
The service and food at this restaurant were excellent overall! We ordered a soup and decided to share it.
COO is now my go-to spot for brunch! This cozy and inviting restaurant has a calming atmosphere, great service, and mouthwatering dishes. My husband and I had a lovely experience there.
I really like the Coo cafe. It is quiet, unpretentious, relaxed, and informal, but the quality of the food is really high, and service is nice. I went there with my teen son, and he loved too. Highly recommended
Honestly this place blew me away with the taste, the service, and the simplicity of everything.Firstly, this is a small restaurant on West Bloor in Dovercourt. I just happen to stumble across this place on instagram and thought I would give it a try. The decor is very simple, nothing fancy, but gives a nice, home feeling, a place where you can relax and just enjoy being there. Then comes the staff. The owner is the japanese chef, working behind the counter. He is always smiling out of the open kitchen, where you can sit right in front and watch his performance. The waiter is also very kind, and is never intrusive, and brought water/napkin over before I even asked.Lastly is the food. There is nothing fancy about it. It's dumplings, egg fried rice, Gyu don (beef rice), kara-age (fried chicken), standard japanese dishes. But with each bite, you can taste the amount of work the chef put in, just to get this bite into your mouth. The omu rice (egg omelette rice) is only served during lunch or brunch, but definitely worth going there to try. There gyu don, that beef was so tender, I didn't need a knife to cut it. If you do get it, I highly recommend getting the poached egg with it. I'm sure you've tried other chicken kara-age, but this is super crispy outside, tender inside, seasoned to perfection. They also have a spicy and non-spicy mayo to dip.I can't wait to go back to try more of their dishes, or even just to eat the exact same thing again. It is my new favourite restaurant in Toronto, and 1 you must try.
