Bidrage med feedbackI wanted to visit this place already one because, but there was always a big line! it was a coincidence that it was empty on Thursday night. the room is super sweet and cozy, although a little small. the bathroom is back and they must pass the kitchen to get it what I thought was a lil strange. Anyway, we ordered the rinderbrisket mi and the rare rinderpho. I was very pleasantly surprised with the banh mi, it tasted super fresh and delicious. it had a lot of cilantro, but that was my fault that I didn't let my waiter know in advance, but no problem that I just ran out of it and there was my partner. I was a little disappointed by the pho, it was quite blanching. the menu was small and condensed, which is very bc sometimes when the menu is too big, I have a hard time to decide! some of the options were a little whack, as the classic cold cuts banh mi had been in it?! it felt as though some of the menu points were definitely cracked on white people, although I give it to them to be kreatiw. the halloumi banh mi looked interesting and I think I saw reviews say it was great, so it could be a hit, but I could not try it (at least this time.) the prices were definitiw higher than other Vietnamese places, but in contemplating their situation that I understand. Nevertheless, the vietnameses jumped in me when I had to pay $16 for a banh mi. I heard great things about some of the other elements on the menu, like the chicken wings, but again, we couldn't try a lot because we both didn't have a big appetit. maybe next time!
Mic feeling. initially ambiente and service was great: cozy, warm and efficient. the ph-hardware is cooked here in the southern style, rich, dark and strongly spiced. each ingredient was good, but they didn't come together well. the dice brisket was delicate and tasteful, but they did not give the silky experience against the traditional discs. rare bark was amazing, but tasted more like roasted bark set in ph-Axi. the reisnudel was too al dente. mango shake tasted more like sugar than mango. the price was quite steep.
This place has so much right. Went last night with a group of friends for a going away dinner as suggested by our vietnamese friend who was told to check it out. We absolutely loved it. We got the chicken wings, sausage fresh rolls, shrimp fresh rolls and pho and my viet friend got a ban mi to go. He said the ban mi was also super good! I will be back for the pho and wings they were amazing. Broth was flavourful af, not overly oily or salty. I have eaten pho many places around the city but none quite like this. The beef was a much nicer cut than what i have had elsewhere and the noodles were perfect texture. The decor is simple yet creates a great vibe. The playlist they had was sick also! Some indie classics like animal collective and grizzly bear, great taste all around! Our server was lovely and very helpful and caring. We had a food allergy in our party and they were diligently mindful of that, very sweet! 10/10 will eat again
Pricey for a reason. Hands down best banh mi and pho. Rare beef pho had so much flavour. The beef was perfect. We will be back.
I've heard good things about Ca Phe Rang and had to try it myself. The banh mi was packaged and labelled nicely. The bread was quite dense and chewy, everything was quite bland, the meat to pickled veggies ratio is not what I'm use to when eating a traditional banh mi. The iced coffee was good 7/10 but unfortunately arrived with a bit of spillage.I was quite disappointed with the whole order, quite expensive but I would like dine in and try the pho and avocado shake sometime.
