Buca - Toronto

My girlfriend and I came here to celebrate our anniversary. We enjoyed most of the dishes and had a good overall experience. However, nothing really stood out to us, so we gave it a 4 out of 5 rating, especially considering the price. The service was also very good. Our favorite dish was the octopus with circular pasta similar to orzo. It was a fun experience! We also liked the preserved meats, particularly the unique octopus. While we're not sure if it's worth the price, it's worth trying at least once. We probably won't be back again.

The food at this restaurant is delectable, with the eggplant and tiramisu being especially recommended. Andrew, our bartender, deserves praise for crafting exceptional cocktails. Our server Tamara was incredibly friendly and made us feel very welcome. I will certainly be returning in the future!

I recently dined at Buca on Valentine's Day and it took me a while to process just how amazing the food was before writing this review. The burrata pizza was my favorite dish of the night - the truffle, basil, and creamy burrata were a perfect combination. The prosciutto was delicious and thick, and the pickled turnips on the side were a burst of flavor. The ricciola (fish) was spicy, flavorful, and incredibly fresh. The brussel sprouts were crispy and packed with flavor from the guanciale. The mains were a bit underwhelming, with the octopus lacking sauce and the pasta being undercooked. However, the dessert was fantastic. The almond blood orange cake with mascarpone was both amazing and huge - we even had leftovers. The affogato was exceptional, with chocolate gelato and crunchy biscotti. Don't miss out on dessert at Buca!

It’s located at end of hidden alley along King st. Their patio is small and cute but they have larger interior. The cocktails were overpriced but food was decent. Their service was very polite and helful and staff were friendly. Although we had overall positive experience there, we wouldn’t go back there since the price tag didn’t match the food and scale of the restaurant. They should revisit the menu and prices to attract more traffic there.

Fantastic dinner. Staff were attentive. Food was delicious. Cocktails were unique. Couldn’t have asked for a better meal
